Upon arrival in to Sri Lanka, after immigration formalities & baggage collection, at the exit of arrival lounge our representative will page you by your name. Thereafter you will be assisted to the car / coach park to begin you journey as per the booked itinerary accompanied by the guide.

Day 01 – City tour in Colombo

Colombo is the commercial capital of Sri Lanka which has a blend of variety of trends and cultures that represent the nation. City is blessed with an assortment of colonial and modern buildings surrounded with shopping malls, parks together with virtually every amenity a modern city should have. The touch of urban hustle bustle keeps the city alive at all times amidst many places of interest for a traveller within the city itself. Day 02 – Colombo – Dambulla – Minneriya – Sigiriya

After breakfast leave for Dambulla

Visit cave temple

Major significance and the attraction in Dambulla are the largest cave temples in Sri Lanka. These cave temples witness the presence of civilization well before the Indian influence to Sri Lanka. There are five caves which comprises 153 Buddha statues and fabulous paintings done in the ancient era relating to Lord Buddha’s life. In addition there are statues of ancient Kings and Hindu gods. Afternoon visit Minneriya national park

Minneriya National Park with 8890 hectares is located in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka which originally was a wild life sanctuary. Park offers an exceptional diversity of wildlife giving the opportunity to witness herds of elephants at all times of the year with 24 species of mammals, 170 species of birds, 09 species of amphibians, 78 varieties of butterflies and 25 species of reptiles. There are a few species of fresh water fish are also seen in the Minneriya reservoir with mugger crocodiles. Minneriya tank has a historical significance since same had been built by the ancient king Mahasen in third century A.D. ( Please see Minneriya in the map for more photographs )

Day 03 – Sigiriya – Kandy

After breakfast climb Sigiriya rock

Sigiriya, most fantastic solitary wonder in Sri Lanka. The rock is surrounded by jungles stands tall endorsing the great civilization during the ancient kings. This gigantic rock with a 700 ft height is ranked as a world heritage site by UNESCO for its significant urban planning, sophisticated architecture, engineering, hydraulic technology, art and landscaping. On the summit one could witness the foundations of a sumptuous palace and gardens with massive swimming pools. Western face of the rock comprises of a bewitching gallery of frescoes of life sized damsels in all the freshness and delicacy of their original colour. Afterwards proceed to Kandy.

Enroute visit a Spice Garden at Matale and see the luscious Cinnamons, Cardamons, Pepper plants etc. You can also purchase your requirements of spices.

Afternoon city tour of Kandy, including Upper Lake Drive, Market Square, Arts & Crafts Centre, Gem Museum and Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic.

Kandy, termed as the hill capital, nestled amidst green mountainous environment in the central province of Sri Lanka. City is at an elevation of 465 meters above sea level and the last capital of Sri Lankan kings. Kandy is one of the most picturesque cities in the island with authentic Sri Lankan charm, attracts thousands of visitors every day.

Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic

Monument which signifies Kandy the most, located in the Royal Palace complex of Kandian kingdom. Lord Buddha’s tooth relic is housed in this temple and it is the most sacred place of worship and pilgrimage for the Buddhists in the world. Day 04 – Kandy – Peradeniya – Nuwara Eliya

After breakfast visit Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens

Wonderful tourist attraction located very close to the hill capital, Kandy. This comprises of 147 acre extent and attracts at least 2 million tourists a year. This was started way back in 1347 by the Kings in Kandy. It is well renowned for a collection of a large variety of orchids, more than 4000 species of endemic and plants from the tropical world. Peradeniya Royal Botanical Gardens is the largest botanical garden is Sri Lanka and considered as a national asset. ( Please see Peradeniya in the map for more photographs )

Thereafter proceed to Nuwara Eliya

Nuwara Eliya, the “ Little England “ of Sri Lanka is nestled 2000 meters above sea level amidst bewildering backdrops of green misty mountains and sprawling tea gardens that blanket rolling hills, breath-taking valleys, and scenic water falls is the ideal retreat to beat the tropical heat and the hustle and bustle of any city. British influence in the country is witnessed by country cottages or Queen Anne fashion mansions.
